Matt Hoverman

Matt Hoverman has trained and worked with Corporate Scenes for the last several years. In the capacities as skilled role-player and corporate trainer, he empowers managers to embody a powerful leadership presence and develop their own compelling communication style.

Also a private performance coach and theatre teacher, he has enabled dozens of actors, writers and regular people to turn the stories of their lives into moving, hilarious, exciting theatre pieces in his popular Create Your Own Solo Show Workshops; his students have appeared on HBO and in theatres across the country, garnering rave reviews and awards. A professional actor, his credits include a national tour with the Tony-award winning The Acting Company, premiere regional theatres like the La Jolla Playhouse and Yale Rep, and on TV in shows like Late Night with Conan O'Brien, As the World Turns and as the voice of many characters on cartoons such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! As a playwright, he has been excerpted in the New York Times and his plays have been nominated for a Drama Desk Award, the Actors' Theatre of Louisville Heideman Award - and he won the 2006 FringeNYC Best Playwriting Award for the sold-out, extended run of his play IN TRANSIT. He holds a BA in Theatre from Brown University (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MFA in Acting from the University of California, San Diego. He currently resides in New York City.
